PIONEERS SINCE 1969

From 1965 the economy began to be distributed around the tourists with the so-called TOURIST BOOM since, they were a source of wealth that was going to concentrate in areas where before there was nothing. Areas where we could only find sun and beach. These particularities constitute the starting point of the competitive advantages of tourism, which is born in sun and beach tourism as such. This new business possibility was captured by Lázaro Pérez and Blás Cairós who knew how to distinguish in advance the great demand for transport services that was going to be generated on the island of Tenerife.

They decided to create then the company Autocares Pérez and Cairós joining their mutual effort for the development of this activity in 1969. But things get complicated in their beginnings because in 1970 it is the moment when the energy crisis begins, due to the rise of the price of oil and raw materials as a result of the fall of the dollar, an issue that generates uncertainty and therefore a lower influx of tourism to the island.

Subsequently, once the energy crisis was overcome, and thanks to the tax advantages granted to the islands (REF-72), tourism activity continued to grow until the 1990s, thanks to the second "tourist boom" where it was created a demand for new tourist models. It is at this stage that the development of the company really takes place, moving from 2 microbuses to a fleet of more than 70 buses.
